A Calm, Safe Experience with a Louisville Newborn Photographer
As a Louisville newborn photographer based in Goshen, Kentucky, I proudly serve families throughout Louisville, Oldham County, Prospect, Crestwood, La Grange, Pewee Valley, Buckner, Southern Indiana, and surrounding areas.

I have two photography studios, including a dedicated studio used exclusively for newborn sessions. The newborn studio is carefully prepared before you arrive and kept comfortably warm, with props preheated before your baby is placed in them. I use continuous professional lighting rather than flashing strobes, and a womb-sound machine helps create a peaceful, soothing environment.

I schedule only one newborn session per day, so your family never needs to feel rushed. If you’re running late after a sleepless night, your baby needs another feeding, or we simply need extra time for soothing, changing, or cuddling, that’s okay. Your session is designed to work around your newborn—not the other way around.

Every newborn session is thoughtfully designed for your baby and family. From colors, wraps, textures, props, and styling to lighting and posing, each detail is selected to create a beautiful image capturing the delicate eyelashes, little fingers and toes, and sleepy expressions. Newborn safety guides every decision I make during your session. Props are carefully weighted and stabilized, and your baby is supported throughout posing. I never force a pose or rush through a setup. We pause whenever your baby needs to be fed, changed, soothed, or cuddled. As an experienced Louisville newborn photographer, I understand that every baby has different needs, and I allow their comfort and natural movements to guide the session.

Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first 14 days after birth, when babies tend to sleep more deeply and naturally settle into the curled, sleepy poses associated with newborn portraiture. I schedule these sessions in the morning, when newborns are generally best rested and most settled for their photographs.
What to Expect from Your Louisville Newborn Photographer

I also have an assistant present during newborn sessions. Having another experienced set of hands allows us to work safely and efficiently while keeping close attention on your baby. It also helps us move smoothly between setups, wraps, props, and poses, allowing us to create greater variety without unnecessarily extending your session.

I intentionally limit the number of sessions I accept so that every family receives the time and attention their images deserve. Your fully edited gallery is typically delivered within two weeks—and often sooner.
